PIXAR'S ZOETROPE

Hey you!

You going to
California Adventures anytime soon?

If so,
make sure you stop into
the animation hall
and see
this:


Yeah...
it looks like a bunch of
cool action figures.
But watch
what happens when 
it starts
SPINNING:


Pretty 
amazingly
COOL,
right?

The basic principles
of this come from
one of the earliest forms of 
animation,
the zoetrope:


You'd spin one of these
and look through the 
moving slits at eye level
and 
BOOM:

MOVING HORSE!

But as usual,
Pixar
took it
NEXT LEVEL!

Although rumour has it they
borrowed the idea from
the Studio Ghibli Museum:
