MR. WILLEMS AND MR. WARBURTON AT THE ERIC CARLE MUSEUM

So remember when you said you were
planning on stopping by the
in Amherst, Massachusetts
one of these days?

Well, I've got the
PERFECT
day to do it:

September 23, 2017

That's when
Mo Willems
and
I
will be there to promote
THIS:

I'm STILL not sure how
Mo managed to promote
EVERYONE IN THE WORLD
(except me)
to co-author on the front cover.

But I at least got drawn as a pig
on the back cover:

Regardless,
we're gonna be at the museum
from 11:00-3:00
doing readings,
showing films,
hanging out with Elephant and Piggie,
and I'll even be doing a fun
KND workshop with the kids:

really
really
REALLY
wanted to do a
Muppet Babies
presentation.
But Disney PR
feels it's a
LITTLE
too early
to show anything.

So we'll rock KND instead!
And it'll be a blast!

For a complete schedule of all the
Willems/Warburton
action,
head over

Hope to see you there!

OOPS! I TRIATHALONED AGAIN

Well, it's been a little over a week
and I haven't died of
residual effects from the
2016 MALIBU TRIATHALON.

You'd think I'd have keeled over
after having to get up at
2:30 A freaking M
to drive down to Zuma Beach with my
sooper-powered neighbor
Darren Turbow.

But we weren't the only ones:

I got marked up
with my bib number
(in case you die and they need to identify you)

And then got my gear set up in the transition area.

It turned out to be a misty day,
which was delightful since the last two years
were stoopid hair dryer in your face hot.

After a beautiful performance of the National Anthem by Rachel Platten,
(and a moving rendition of her hit, The Fight Song)
it was time to go!

And after all was said and done,
I thought I had a really great race!

I knew my swim wasn't as good as last years.
The mist made it hard to keep your bearings and I
had to stop alot to make sure I was on course.

But I thought I
MURDERED
it on the bike and run.

I ended up going
two hours, 10 minutes,
which seemed
AWESOME!

Then I realized I did a
2:07 last year.

Oops.

Still--
I'll take it.

I mean,
I tied my personal record of
NOT DYING,
right?

Here are the official times:

I was a minute over on my bike
and a minute under on my run.
The extra time came on my swim.

But next year I'll beat that
2:07.

If I don't die, that is.

Thanks,
Malibu Triathalon!

THE 7D PANEL AT COMIC-CON 2016

As mentioned last post,
the Disney TVA
THE 7D/ PENN ZERO
panel at
Comic Con 2016
rocked pretty hard.
There was a
KILLER
crowd:

And
powerful
panelists:

From L to R:
Tom Ruegger - Exec Producer of The 7D
David Wright - Supreme Leader of Disney TVA Casting
Jerky McJerkpants - Jerksville, Jerksylvania
Sam Levine - Co-creator of Penn Zero
Kat Good - Director, Penn Zero
Adam Henry - Director, Penn Zero
Parry Gripp - Musician, The 7D

After Sam and friends,
talked about all the awesome
stuff coming up on Penn Zero,
Parry Gripp got our part of the panel kickstarted:
Here's what things looked like from my point of view:

Mr. Ruegger and I blathered on about all sorts of 7D stuff
and showed all sorts of fun sneaky peeks:

Here's one of the clip reels we ran:

And then it was off to sign posters for
everybody!

But not before everyone got a cool set of pins:

Another successful
Comic Con
panel with
NO INJURIES!

HOORAY!

BYE- BYE COMIC CON 2016

OOF!

My trip to the San Diego Comic-Con
this year was a bit of a whirlwind.

I almost didn't go because
my parents were having a luncheon to celebrate
 their 50th wedding anniversary
on Saturday, July 23rd
in Philadelphia.

SIDENOTE:
I was born on my parents 2nd anniversary,
therefore making me the
sooper bestest best anniversary present
FOREVER.

Disney TVA was planning a joint panel with
The 7D and Penn Zero on Friday the 22nd
so they begged/threatened/cajoled
me into doing the event and then taking a red eye
to Philadelphia that night.

And being dumb,
I did it.

But it was totally worth it.
Because I would have hated to miss
Comic-Con.

Because
AWESOME:

It was,
of course,
gihoogic as ever:

I was totally going to buy this
Frank Frazetta painting:

But then I saw the price:

I couldn't afford this car, either.

Or this:

And my oldest sooper hero
was lucky enough to get invited to
his first-ever con by a good friend
so we got to walk the floor
and nerd out together for a while:

One Piece toys rock!

GAH!
Good thing I took the train:

And as was to be expected,
all of San Diego was
RAINING
Poke Lures:

Which made it fun to catch
stuff like this:

One of my favorites things about
 Comic Con is the cosplay.
I mean, check out this guy dressed as
Maxwell Atoms:

So much good stuff:

And even though it was a short trip,
I still made time to pose for my annual
Yugioh token card:

Next up,
I'll tell you about
how the 7D panel went!
