TRICK OR TREATING WITH THE KND

Halloween is coming up!
And if you're a true Kids Next Door operative
then you remember when the KND
had the honor of being all over
donation boxes.

THAT
was pretty cool.

There was even a fun little game you could play on

And guess what?
It's STILL there:

It's a little less
KND-centric than it was originally:

But you can still find
Sector V
lurking about the game:

Hit 'em up for some candy over

THE 7-D!
(or what the heck I've been doing lately)

So lots of people ask me...

Whatcha doin'?

And I'm all like,

You know... stuff.

And they're like,

Cool.
What kinda stuff?

So I go,

7-D stuff.

And everyone's
SO
like,

Um...
what's
The 7-D?

Well, it's a re-imagining of
those dudes from
Walt Disney's first
feature length film
Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.

But they don't look like this:

They look like this:

And here's how it's going down:

Set in the contemporary storybook world of Jollywood,
"The 7D" follows brave little heroes Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Dopey, Grumpy and Doc
as they work together to maintain order in the kingdom.
Standing in their way are Grim and Hildy Gloom, a novice warlock and witch couple,
who haplessly plot to dethrone the Queen and take over Jollywood.

Executive Producer
(Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain)
developed the series for Disney
and has brought his signature funsanity
to the project.

Me?
I hopped on board as
Co-Executive Producer
to bring my own brand of fun.

It's been a crazy ride
and now the show's
about to hit the airwaves
July 7th
on
Disney XD!

Check the promo:

Don't be shy to
download the game
before the show hits!

GET THAT CANDY!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Now get your costume on
and go get what's yours!
(but watch out for Stickybeard and his candy pirates!)

And why not get in the spirit by
playing an old school KND game:

Check it out over HERE!

Shockwave plug-in required...
although I couldn't get it working on my Safari browser.
Firefox worked fine, tho.

CASTLE CRASHERS!

The world doesn't even know it happened,
but an epic quest has come to an end.

While you were sleeping safely in your bed,
or watching reruns of The Fall Guy,
me and Maxwell Atoms:

WERE HACKING AND SLASHING OUR WAY
THROUGH AN AMAZING ADVENTURE!

This is us:

I'm the electric guy on the right, obviously.
Mr. Atoms is the Blue Knight with the icy magical powers.

See, whenever we would go out on the town to
discuss matters of great importance,
we'd usually end up back at his secret hideout,
Castle Dreadmore.
(Dubbed 'The Fab Fortress', SECRET HIDEOUTS AND GARDENS, Nov 2005)

Whilst there we'd load up our saved game of CASTLE CRASHERS
and delve further into our seemingly never-ending journey to
save the Princess from the Evil Wizard.

Never heard of Castle Crashers?
Dude.
You're missing out.

At face value, it's nothing new.
Just a basic side-scroller where you hack and slash your way towards increasingly harder boss monsters.

But the devil is in the details here.
Firstly, the game is BEAUTIFUL.
Nothin' fancy.
Just a deliberately hand-drawn 2-D look.
But what STYLE!!!
(by the brilliant Dan Paladin)
The characters, backgrounds and effects are all simply drawn
but have buckets of flavor.
Great silhouettes.
Bold colors.
Snappy animation.
Who needs all that busy, complicated 3-D crap?
Gimme something with STYLE any day of the week.

Secondly, the game has a great sense of humor.
And it's everywhere.
In the character design.
(there's an awesome sock monster boss)
In the game design.
(there's a great volleyball mini-game)
Amongst the backgrounds.
(all your weapons are kept inside a giant, living frog)
In the weaponry.
(you can fight with a chicken stick)
And I can go on.
And on.
And on.

Thirdly, and most important,
the game is FUN.
The levels are fresh and creative.
Not too easy.
Not too hard.
And with plenty of new places to go and different things to kill.

Anyway, Mr. Atoms and I had been playing the game for almost a year.
(I assume it would go faster if we played more than once or twice a month.)
And now it's over.
Just a couple nights ago we beat the big sooper main boss and our epic quest came to an end.
And I'm a little sad.

It's tough to find a game that much fun.

Sooper triple huge thanks to the guys at Behemoth!

I definitely can't wait to play more of their games!

IT'S PUNCH TIME!

PUNCHTIME EXPLOSION, THAT IS!

Cartoon Network just sent me a copy of the game!
Now I just gotta find a Nintendo 3DS to play it on.
And when I do I know who I'm playin':

Totally.

PS: Yeah. I know. That ain't Maurice LaMarche doing the voice of Father!
Heresy, right?

But what's that?
You don't have a 3DS, either?
Don't sweat it.
The game is hitting consoles for the 2011 holiday season with even more characters and features.

PUNCH TIME EXPLOSION!

AW YEAH!

Starting this May, the Cartoon Network universe is
gonna get to some serious punchin'!
That's right...

Dexter!
Chowder!
Samurai Jack!
Ben 10!
The Powerpuff Girls!
They're gonna settle some age old beef in a Super Smash Bros-style game called:

Oh wait... did I mention which character is gonna kick the most butt?
This guy:

Uh huh.
And rumour has it that a certain shadowy evil guy with a pipe is gonna be a playable character, too!

You want some of this?
Then go get Punch Time Explosion this May for your 3DS!

PS I KNOW... I already told them it's spelled NumbUh, not NumbAh... they're fixing it!
(Hopefully.)

FLIGHT OF THE HAMSTERS!

It takes a LOT of power to keep a KND Treehouse going.

Between the offensive and defensive systems, the 5 story gameroom, the indoor/outdoor waterpark, 24 hour automatic kitchen, Numbuh Two's 2x4 tech lab-- not to mention Numbuh Three's animatronic Rainbow Monkey museum... there needs to be an endless source of energy to make sure everything is up and running at all times.

So what would you use?

Solar energy?
Cold fusion power cells?
Bio-diesel fuel?
A matrix of comatose human beings?

Nope. The KND use something even better.

HAMSTERS!

And yeah, it takes THOUSANDS of them critters, all running on their wheels, to power up the massive KND headquarters. It's rough work, but they're well rewarded and shown much love by Numbuh Three.

But what do they do the lil fellas do when they've get some time off?

They toss each other into the air and see how far they can launch themselves into the next county, that's what they do!

And it's REALLY FUN!
See what this guy has to say about it:

So what? Is 99 cents too much to pay for a game?
Or maybe you don't have an Iphone, Ipad or Ipod Touch?

You can always play it as much as you want, for free, right HERE!

But I'll warn you... it's addictive!

And don't be shy to check out all the other KND games on cartoonnetwork.com while you're at it!
