I
love
checking out
production
materials
from
animated shows.
When you create a TV show,
you're creating
a living and breathing world.
And no matter what
kind of world it is,
there are
RULES.
Do "normal" physics apply?
Can a character take their head
off and throw it to someone else?
Do they have 4 or five fingers?
You might not think it matters,
but since it takes so many people
to animate a TV series,
everyone needs to know
how to draw the same way.
And details are what gives a show it's life and character.
Right down to the way a character chews their food.
And every production is different.
Here are some great examples from
KING OF THE HILL:
To be honest,
KING OF THE HILL
never cracked me up much.
But I still love getting insight into
how their show was run.
