KND SEASONS 4, 5 and 6 UP ON NETFLIX

HEY!

Were you the one
asking when seasons
four
five
and
six
of
Codename: Kids Next Door
were gonna be on
Netflix?

Because only seasons 1-3
have been available
for, like, evuh.

Well, guess what?

Not sure how long they've been up
but my little ninjas just found out
yesterday.

Just don't ask me when
seasons
one
two
and
three
will be back.

LOOK WHO GOT TURNED INTO A RAINBOW MONKEY!

Who would absolutely
HATE
to be turned into a
Rainbow Monkey?

Numbuh Four,
of course!
(more like Numbuh FUR, amiright?)

Amazing work by
sooper krafty
special operative
Lizmet Guzman,
right?

She made it for her pal
Dezi
who rocked some serious
Numbuh Three
cosplay
at
Wondercon:

Man,
I love me some
homemade
Rainbow Monkey!

You guys rule!

WONDERCON 2014

As I mentioned last year,

Sure, it's still crowded
and the chances of losing them are
3:1
(That's K in the green shirt
just before being swallowed
by nerddom)

But it's worth it for the boys
to get to play
Mario Kart 8
before
the general public does:

We even got driver's licenses:

Any table with
anything
Pokemon
is a guaranteed stop.
(the boys stop, too)

We were pretty sure
sooper stylist Mom
didn't need any
nerd-themed leggings
but we took a picture
anyway:

Japanese toys were also a
big draw:

And of course,
cosplay and robot building:

We especially enjoyed the mash-up
of cosplay and Mario Kart:

And
YES!
In preparation for
the release of this summer's
sooper fun
Where's Waldo-style book
(which I have an illustration in)

I FOUND CATBUG!

I wish I took more pictures
but I was too busy losing my kids.

Hopefully I'll find them before next year!

OTTAWA ANIMATION FESTIVAL 2014

Come September
don't judge me for getting
all judgmental
over here:

Uh huhs...
It's gonna be my sooper supreme honor
to be a judge at the
Ottawa International Animation Festival
this year.

Here's my bio:

Tom Warburton est le créateur de la colossale série originale
Codename : Kids Next Door sur Cartoon Network.
M. Warburton a auparavant réalisé Sheep in The Big City pour Cartoon Network,

I have no idea what it says either.
But rumour has it there's a translation over
along with the bios of my esteemed judgy colleagues

And I've said it before
but it bears repeating;

Ottawa is my
FAVORITE
animation festival.

I love the city.

I love the screenings.

I love the people.

I love the parties.

It was the first festival
I attended after my
was accepted.

And it was the mega ultimate honor to have
Codename: Kids Next Door win
Best Television Animation Made for Children
not once but
TWO YEARS
in a row!

So maybe I'll see you in
Ottawa
this September?

I'll be the one blathering on and on with
festival director
Chris Robinson
about
animation,
hockey,
The Who
and
Guided By Voices!

It's a video game being put together by these guys:

Then you wonder loudly,

Okay,
so a bunch of geniuses are making a game.
What's it about?

Looks fun, right?

So why dontcha pack a suitcase of money
and head on over to their

THE SKETCHBOOK THAT WOULDN'T DIE

So like,
WHAT WAS THIS
SKETCHBOOK'S
PROBLEM?
(aside from the Air Jordan/Heisenberg sticker mash-up)

It took
FOREVER
to get through this thing.

It started on
November 5th, 2013

And
FINALLY
ended on
April 6th, 2014

I usually can get through a
sketchbook in 3 months or so.
But this one dragged.
Mainly because I was working on a couple
sooper secret pitch books,
an illustration for
and
other stuffs.

And a huge portion of this book is filled
with some character design
I'm working on for a show idea.
Not sure it'll go anywhere,
but you never know.

But to be honest...
this was one of those volumes that
I just wasn't feeling.

Sometimes you think you're
drawing is moving forward.
Other times you're staring at a blank page
and everything you put down just feels
BLAH.

Sooper pal
Kano
says that if you put stickers
on a sketchbook before drawing in it,
it's bound to suck.
But I feel the opposite.
You can't start a book until you've got
it stickered.

And I stickered this one first,
but still...

meh

Regardless,
you fight your way through
and draw stuff like
map-wielding dwarves:

You go to the premiere of

And
you
draw
draw
draw:

And then one day
you're done:

And you move on to the next one!
