Done.
Another
Another
sketchbook has died in battle and joined it's
brethren on the shelf.
This one started on
August 30th, 2016,
right when we were officially ramping up on
Muppet Babies.
The cover originally had this
Banksy/Pokemon
sticker mash-up:
Now,
after much wear and tear,
it looks like this:
Normally, I can't start working in a sketchbook
until I've got the title pages worked out.
But we got
SO
busy
SO
quickly
I never drew anything:
Which makes this book feel kind of weird and incomplete.
But I thought it'd be weirder to add something so late in the game.
Most of the book os filled with top secret
Muppet Baby
brainstorming
stuff.
But it's also filled with a lot of meeting doodles.
Because we have a
LOT
of
meetings:
Muppet Babies.

One of the things I love about working in a studio is the
abundance of post-it caricatures.
Here are a couple passed around by
Supervising Director
Matt Danner
and Art Director
Chris Moreno,
mostly of
Director
Guy Moore:
Here are some
homemade
Yu-Gi-Oh
cards
my son Kelley made that
were too good to throw away:
And then,
as is bound to happen,
the book was finished
after five months of loyally
recording my every move:
And now it's on to the next book.
Stick around and I'll show it to you
when its done!

Nice, I was waiting for it. It took awhile, right? You used to finish these sketchbooks in 2~3 months, as far as I can remember... and until today I haven't started a single one. I guess that's what happens when you spend too much time playing videogames and studying and working.
